Metabolism means: 1) Breaking down complex substances (food) into simple, body usable nutrients 2) Absorbing nutrients through intestine walls into body fluid - blood or lymph 3) Optional storage of nutrients until they're required 4) Transporting nutrients to where they're required 5) Injecting nutrients into cellular machinery as required B12 is also required for red blood cell, myelin (nerve sheath) and DNA synthesis. DNA is our blueprint of health. "So goes our DNA. So goes our health." Longevity depends on how fast a person can regenerate. How fast they can replace old (damaged, failing & dying) cells with new (vital) cells. :: B12 Metabolism Large amounts of B12 are produced in the colon by friendly bacteria, however absorption takes place in the small intestine so little or no B12 is absorbed from the colon. Additionally for B12 to be utilized properly B12 bond with "intrinsic factor", a protein only present in stomach secretions. B12 deficiencies contribute to an amazing variety of dis-eases. Some of the most pronounced are: :: Multiple Sclerosis Primary contributers include: 1) Dehydration: First micro fissures in myelin (nerve sheaths) & shrinkage, progressing to major cracks. 2) Parasites : First eating through myelin then the actual nerve bundles themselves. Accelerated by micro fractures which ease parasites taking root. 3) Low B12 : Once hydration is restored and parasites killed, repair of myelin depends on B12, both for correct DNA instructions and raw material for myelin. :: Cancer Primary contributers include: 1) Dehydration : Insufficient water slows and stagnates blood and lymph flow causing slow and incomplete elimination increasing a body's in toxic load. Much like a sewer backing up. 2) Hypoxia : Insufficient oxygen and water degrade DNA resulting in production of mutated cells. 3) Pathogens : Nitrogen breathing micro organisms, including Candida, fungus, bacteria, viruses and parasites. All of which steel oxygen and water, then dump toxins. 4) Cooked Food : Contributes to dehydration and Hypoxia by gumming up body with sticky substances and heat deranged minerals (sediment), both of which provide a friendly environment for pathogens to take root and flourish. 5) Low Enzymes : Results from cooked food consumption so the pancreas has to convert metabolic (cancer fighting) enzymes to digestive (cooked food fighting) enzymes. 6) Low Minerals: Minerals are required for all metabolism and elimination. Cooking denatures minerals, rendering them either ineffective or toxic. 7) Low B12 : Once hydration, oxygenation, enzymes levels, mineral levels are restored and pathogens killed, abundant B12 is required to repair degraded, mutated DNA. :: Longevity Rapid or pre-mature aging appears to be primarily due to DNA degeneration. In other words, corruption of the DNA blueprint. Corrupted DNA produces mutations when cells divide. With each new generation of mutated cells, DNA corruption increases. Finally reaching a stage where new cells can no longer sustain life. They die as soon as they divide. B12 appears to be essential for longevity, as B12 is a primary contributer to maintaining our DNA in immaculate condition. Additionally, research indicates DNA can be repaired. B12 seems a likely candidate as a potent contributer for this repair. :: Killing Pathogens Killing pathogens goes hand in hand with B12. Many of the 'pop colon cleansers' either kill good bacteria or are highly abrasive, creating micro fractures in the digestive tract. Research indicates these B12-like substances are either unavailable to humans or cause imbalances, when no source of real B12 exists in the diet. :: B12 In Bee Pollen One delicious source of B12 is our Rainbow Bee Pollen.
