~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Joys & Evils of Chocolate, Salt, Agave, Raw Food & Vegetarianism ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'll be away from 1/17/2007 to 1/25/2007, so please place any orders by Monday (1/15/2007) afternoon. Recently we've had a huge influx of inquiries about whether Chocolate, Salt, Agave, Raw Food and Vegetarianism are good or bad. There are many views both supporting and condemning all these. The tricky part is every view is correct, depending on... You can hear Yemiah and I talk more about this live as we're interviewed: Monday, Jan 15th, 2007 at 8PM CST, conference #5816163 Land Line: 712-432-4000 Skype :+99008275816163 For now, here's how Yemiah and I balance these differing views... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Administrivia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Articles : join@RadicalHealth.com Unsubscribe : leave@RadicalHealth.com Austin Events: austin@RadicalHealth.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Balancing Differing Views ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There's been a deluge of articles circulating in the alternative health community recently about the evils of Chocolate, Salt, Agave, Raw Food and Vegetarianism. There are also many other writings suggesting each of these is the best food/activity ever. All views are correct, depending on many factors. For example, eating watermelon in Texas during intense heat is a balancing activity. Eating watermelon in Alaska can be unbalancing to the point of extreme discomfort or death, as several have proved over the years. Each food/technology has a neutral charge, like electricity. Electricity can be constructive or destructive, given how it's used and the specific situation it's used in. Here's the more interesting question... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The More Interesting Question ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The more interesting question is this: Is what you're doing giving you your desired outcome, quickly consistently and completely? For example, I remember as a child being around Nursing Homes and Factory Farming. My first consideration, around five, was: Whatever these Nursing Home patients did, I'm doing different. Later after realizing these people looked like the animals they were eating from Factory Farms, I opted for a new eating style. For me, my life outcomes seem quicker, more complete and more consistent when my eating style is rich in upscale Vegan Raw Food and Super Foods like Coco Chai, Hemp Seeds, Bee Pollen, Gojis, etc. Another consideration relates back to eating watermelon in Alaska... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Watermelon In Alaska ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One of the biggest challenges for Westerners is our tendency to enjoy "putting things in neat boxes". It's convenient to be able to label things good/bad, right/wrong, healthy/unhealthy. This simplifies our life and more importantly: Allows us to operate in head-brain mode, rather than heart-brain mode. Managing hierarchies of data gives our head-brain purpose and allows us to avoid operating in heart-brain, intuitional mode. Because when our intuition runs at peak, we can only tolerate and instantly gravitate to our highest choice in our every act. My story about why most Westerners prefer head-brain mode, is intuitional operation is spooky, sloppy and what's good/right/healthy today may be bad/wrong/unhealthy tomorrow, which can be confusing. As my good friend Antero Alli says, "Confusion is a zone of energy/information richer than you usually traverse." Here's my simple rules of thumb for evaluating foods/activities... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ David's Rapid Evaluation Rules of Thumb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I primarily eat those foods and engage in activities which: 1) Appeal most to my senses and aesthetics (sense of beauty). 2) Give me my greatest satisfaction with upscale side effects. 3) Continually intensify/expand my "Peak Experience". 4) Mildly reduce or maintain my "Peak Experience" when refrained from for 1-2 weeks. Chocolate for example. Many people tout the evils of Chocolate and to me they're right. Given the quality and toxicity of most available Chocolate (yes even so-called Raw Chocolate), I'd refrain. This is why we've developed our own Super Food supply chains. The products which were available in the marketplace teased to much and delivered to little, so we located and now import products which deliver at a level of our personal expectations. Most Chocolate smells/tastes like vinegar (violates #1/#2 above). In fact, when we were testing supply chains we threw out the majority of test samples after smelling the outside of the box. No opening. No tasting. Many times refusing to even bring the samples in our home. Knowing this type of smell speaks of extremely high microbial activity of unknown origins, #2 above might be violated intensely if I were to eat these products. Number #3 and #4 go hand in hand with me. My favorite foods are those which continually increase my "Peak Experience"... and... if I cease eating them for 1-2 weeks very little changes. Specifically I look for changes in the form of detox symptoms like headaches, shakes (which occur with toxic Chocolate), digestive challenges, odd tastes in my mouth. I've done experiments leaving off Chocolate for 1-3 weeks, three times now. Having detoxed from amphetamines, I know what chemical detox feels like and I experience none of these symptoms with the Super Foods we import. And intuition is still required... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Intuition and Discrimination ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Intuition comes into play big-time here also. For example, our most recent version of Coco Chai (V23) includes many new dilators, Bloodroot (active component in Black Salve), Chia, MSM and Juniper Berries. An increase from 56 ingredients to 81. The overall effect in our first test subjects was varying degrees of headache and nausea. These passed after the first few days and as test participants were very clean, we chalked this up to our bodies rebooting to new levels of peak operation. Additionally there was one subject who orally expelled what appeared to be a mutagenic or fibroid mass. This could have been a coincidence and this subject reported an increase in Coco Chai V23 was her only eating style change. And to support #2 (best satisfaction) above, we balanced the ratios of new items to rapidly balance accelerated dilation of brain region and alkalizing of any liberated digestive tract toxic debris. This produced a Coco Chai which embodies even more transformative qualities than I'd imagined a single food could ever contain. So in this case we all had to engage our intuition and discrimination to determine whether these effects were downscale or simply our bodies rebooting at new levels of Peak. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wrapping Up For Now ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you find my simple rules of thumb useful, drop me a note about your experience. Check in with your intuition prior to eating any food, engaging in any activity or sharing time with any person/group. Especially check the nature of your response. Heart responses calm, simple go/no-gos. Head responses tend to promote highly energetic love/hate or judgment internal dialog. Also note areas in your life which consistently give Head responses and focus on transmuting these into Heart responses and you may have many intriguing adventures.
